California Has Requested a FEMA Housing Extension. Federal Approval Is Still Needed.
Governor Newsom has requested a 12-month extension of FEMA disaster assistance for Eaton and Palisades fire survivors. If approved, eligible survivors could continue receiving support through July 9, 2027. On Friday, the EFC Housing Committee appealed to President Trump to approve the extension.
