Dena Rise Up Coalition Celebrates Legislative Victories and Seeks Community Input
On October 18, Dena Rise Up Coalition members gathered in Altadena to celebrate three legislative victories, including EFRU-sponsored AB 1642, which establishes California's first statewide science-based standards for wildfire contamination testing, remediation, and clearance. EFRU is deeply grateful to be a partner with the Dena Rise Up Coalition and all the organizations that make up this powerful alliance. Their tireless advocacy, community mobilization, and support were instrumental in helping get AB 1642 passed into law. This victory demonstrates what our organizations can accomplish when we stand together.
Building on this momentum, Dena Rise Up is inviting community members to share their feedback on recovery priorities to help inform the coalition's ongoing work.
