Emergency Rent Relief Program Phase 2 Accepting Tenant Applications

Ends 3/11/26
The LA County Emergency Rent Relief Program (LAERRP) has reopened for Phase 2, expanding access by allowing tenants to apply directly while continuing to accept landlord applications. Tenants can apply online through the program portal or by phone and get free multilingual help by phone M-F, 8am-5pm: 877-849-0770, reducing reliance on landlord-initiated applications. Visit here for a multilingual Program and Application Guide which includes an overview of the Program, tips for applying, and instructions on how to complete and submit the application. The Los Angeles County Emergency Rent Relief Program applications close Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 4:59 p.m. Both tenants and landlords must complete their portions of the application; applications will not be considered if either party does not participate. When payment is issued to the landlord, tenants will be notified of the amount and covered time period for their records.
