L.A.’s Recovery Is Now Moving More Slowly Than Paradise
EFSN is highlighting new reporting showing that recovery after the Los Angeles fires is now moving even more slowly than recovery after Paradise and Santa Rosa. At the center of it is the same problem survivors have been naming for months: rebuilding costs continue to rise while insurance payments remain delayed or insufficient. Survivors with standing homes are still struggling to get proper restoration for contamination damage because insurers continue to refuse or avoid covering the funds and services needed for a safe recovery of a home impacted by ash and smoke.
