New FEMA Funding Continues Disaster Case Management But Uncertain How Long

FEMA announced $11M in additional disaster case-management funding for two CA disaster cohorts, including more than $6.6M for services for more than 3,000 survivors of the 2025 LA County fires and windstorms. The Eaton Fire Collaborative told Pasadena Now that the announcement does not establish how long the local program will continue, how funding will be distributed between communities or whether providers will have enough money to maintain current capacity. Currently the Disaster Case Management Program is continuing, but it is uncertain for what length of time.
