Trump Administration Supports Wildfire Victims Suing State Farm

The Los Angeles Times reported that the U.S. Department of Justice filed a brief supporting 60 fire victims suing State Farm and other insurers over allegations that carriers colluded to push homeowners onto California’s FAIR Plan. The DOJ brief does not decide whether the plaintiffs’ factual claims are true, but it challenges an insurer legal defense that could otherwise prevent survivors from getting their day in court.
