URGENT: CALL AND EMAIL THE ASSEMBLY NOW UNTIL 5/29

AB 1642, the Wildfire Environmental Safety and Testing Act, has passed out of Assembly Appropriations and is headed to the Assembly Floor. This is the bill EFRU is sponsoring to create statewide, science-based standards for testing, remediation, and clearance after wildland-urban interface fires. The goal is simple: families should not be pushed back into homes, schools, or workplaces unless safety has been proven through testing and clear health-based standards.

The Assembly Floor Vote is expected this week. Fire survivors, health professionals, and supporters: please call and email the listed assemblymembers now through Friday, May 29. Every contact matters right now.
Action: Go here for instructions on which assemblymembers to call & email before Friday, May 29:

Ask family and friends in CA to call and email their own assemblymembers as well.
