Help Shape Accountability: An Altadena Community Engagement Session
Wednesday, July 29, 5-9pm in Altadena, CA 91001; Altadena fire survivors are invited to a community dinner is 5-6pm and the program is 6-9pm. Hosted by Altadena Rising and Altadena for Accountability, the event will give survivors an opportunity to share their experiences and help shape community demands for accountability and equitable recovery. Altadena for Accountability will discuss Attorney General Rob Bonta’s civil-rights investigation into emergency-response failures, how survivor voices can shape the official record, harms that still need to be addressed, and what meaningful remedies, accountability, and equitable recovery could look like. RSVP is required to receive a dinner ticket and the event address. Input gathered during the event will be provided directly to the California Attorney General’s team conducting a civil rights investigation into LA County’s emergency response to the Eaton Fire in West Altadena.
