● LA County Public-Housing Waiting Lists — LACDA's site-based public-housing registration period runs through September 16 at 5 p.m., but smaller property lists can close as soon as they reach 1,000 applicants. Six small-site lists had already closed by September 5, so check current availability before applying. This is public housing, not Section 8. ● LA County Helping You Stay Housed — a County hub for renters, homeowners, seniors, families and fire survivors seeking rental assistance, mortgage/foreclosure help, utility assistance, legal aid, housing navigation and other homelessness-prevention support. ● A Sense of Home Disaster Recovery Program — free essential furniture and household goods for qualifying LA County wildfire survivors who have secured new long-term housing but lack the resources to furnish it. Request Disaster Recovery Assistance

● Project Passion Freedom Store — free household items for new and returning fire survivors; open Mondays and Tuesdays for all visitors and Saturdays for first-time visitors, with registration required. Freedom Store: Register
● ONEgeneration — new or gently used clean mattresses for people and families experiencing hardship; recipients must complete a brief phone screening and pick up the mattress in Van Nuys. Mattress help: adminoffice@onegeneration.org.
● Project Passion Moving Help — free moving assistance for displaced Eaton Fire families, with delivery support available within a 50-mile round-trip radius from its Altadena headquarters.
