AB 1642 Heads to the Senate: Fire Survivors Must Keep the Pressure On

AB 1642, the Wildfire Environmental Safety and Testing Act, has passed the Assembly and is now entering the State Senate. The bill will be heard by the Senate Environmental Quality Committee in the next couple of weeks and needs continued advocacy from fire survivors to make sure lawmakers understand what is at stake: families should not be pushed back into homes, schools, or workplaces unless safety has been proven through testing and clear health-based standards.
