Disaster Case Management Scheduled to End September 30 – Join the Press Conference

The Eaton Fire Collaborative reports that the federally funded Disaster Case Management Program is scheduled to end September 30, 2026, even though more than 1,000 households remain in active case management. EFC says FEMA approved approximately $13M for the program but only about $3M had been provided as of its September update, while the State had been advancing costs. Five local case-management organizations are affected: Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, CORE, Jewish Family Service LA, Little Tokyo Service Center and The Carolyn E. Wylie Center. EFC is pursuing federal advocacy while also working on transition and continuity planning.
