Eaton Fire Criminal Investigation Remains Active as Edison Civil Case Moves Forward

LA County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said the criminal investigation into the Eaton Fire remains active, with prosecutors reviewing scientific and technical evidence, expert reports and material developed through civil litigation. Separately, in the civil Eaton Fire mass-tort case, a LA Superior Court judge issued a tentative ruling indicating she was not inclined to grant Edison International’s request to exit the case. No criminal charges against Southern California Edison have been reported.
