EFRU Offers Standing-Home Resources to Spokane and Boyle Heights Residents

EFRU extends our sympathy to families affected by the fires in Spokane and Boyle Heights. For residents whose homes remain standing but were exposed to smoke, ash, or other fire-related contamination, we urge caution about returning too quickly. A standing home is not necessarily a safe home.

EFRU was formed by Eaton Fire survivors confronting these same questions and has developed resources to help standing-home residents understand independent environmental testing, documentation, remediation, clearance, insurance issues, and safe return. While every fire and contamination source is different, residents in Spokane and Boyle Heights may find EFRU’s standing-home resources useful as they begin recovery.
