EFRU NEEDS YOUR HELP TO LET OUR NEIGHBORS KNOW they need to file a claim before January 7, 2027. And let other neighbors know if they remediated without testing, they have limited time to reopen their insurance claim.
EFRU needs volunteers to give just 2.5 hours on Saturday, November 14 or Sunday, November 15, to help reach neighbors who have returned to homes that survived the Eaton Fire but have not been tested for harmful contamination. Volunteers will work in teams of two, going door-to-door to share important information about wildfire smoke and ash, how to get homes tested, and upcoming insurance deadlines. Volunteers can check in anytime between 8:30 AM and 4 PM at The Hub, 2333 Lake Ave., Suite 2A, Altadena, on either November 14 or November 15 to pick up materials and assigned addresses. Our goal is to reach as many households as possible before important insurance deadlines pass and families lose options for getting their homes safely cleaned.
Action: Volunteer or help recruit neighbors through the EFRU volunteer 2.5 hr signup. Learn more about why residents need to do indoor testing NOW: StandingHomes.LA.
