Join EFRU, Resilient Palisades, and the Center for Applied Ecological Remediation (CAER) for two free community events exploring post-fire soil recovery, landscape restoration, and building more resilient ecosystems. On Saturday, November 14, from 12:30–3:30 PM, the Altadena Soil & Site Recovery Workshop will offer hands-on demonstrations of residential site assessment, testing, remediation strategies, and long-term monitoring and maintenance. On Sunday, November 15, from 9:30–11:30 AM, join Resilient Palisades, Studio Petrichor, and Poly/Ana for Walk + Talk: Rebuilding with Nature in Pacific Palisades, a guided walk exploring how water, soil, and regenerative design can support healthier landscapes and inform rebuilding after wildfire. Both events take place outdoors in post-fire environments where hazardous substances may be present; participants should wear comfortable clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Exact meeting locations will be shared with registered participants before each event. Both events are made possible through the generous support of the CA Fire Foundation.
