LA County Completes First Draft of Countywide Wildfire Protection Plan

LA County Planning says the first draft of the Countywide Community Wildfire Protection Plan has been completed. More than 800 project ideas submitted through public workshops were consolidated into roughly 50 wildfire-mitigation actions covering areas such as vegetation treatment, home hardening and public education. The County expects to release the draft this fall for public review and comment; no public-comment date or deadline has been announced yet.

Action: Review the Countywide Community Wildfire Protection Plan project page and watch for notice when the draft opens for public comment.
