LA County Moves to Strengthen Protections Against Recovery Scams
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors directed County staff to develop additional measures aimed at contractor fraud and other scams targeting wildfire survivors. The action calls for expanded outreach and a plan for stronger protections as residents continue rebuilding and navigating insurance, construction and recovery services.
