Mortgage-Relief and Federal-Aid Measures Advance in Sacramento

Three measures championed by Assemblymember Harabedian moved forward. AB 1847 would extend mortgage forbearance for Eaton and Palisades fire survivors to as much as 36 months; AB 1842 would create a statewide mortgage-pause process for homeowners whose homes are uninhabitable after a declared disaster; and AJR 27 urges the federal government to provide supplemental disaster aid still needed by fire-affected communities.
