PUSD Soil Remediation Work Continues at 11 Campuses and Sites
PUSD’s August 11 status table shows four sites under the title Site Preparation, three under Soil Removal & Clearance, and four under Restoration. Several campuses are opening while marked excavation, garden, courtyard, field, or restoration areas remain fenced or closed. Blair High School’s remaining soil-remediation and tree work is planned for summer 2027, while additional work at John Muir is deferred until later in this school year.
The district’s phrase “Soil Removal & Clearance” is the name of an outdoor soil-work phase; it should not be read as a blanket statement that a campus has received comprehensive indoor environmental clearance.
