Survivors Demand Answers as Newsom Proposes $100 Million Wildfire Relief Fund Loan

KTLA reports that Altadena and Eaton Fire survivors are pressing Gov. Newsom for answers about delayed wildfire aid, saying they are still waiting for promised state support more than a year after the fire. Newsom’s revised budget includes a proposed $100 million fund to help wildfire victims afford rebuilding loans, including loan-loss guarantees and interest-rate support. Survivors and advocates argue that this does not answer the larger question of what happened to the previously announced $2.5 billion relief package, and are demanding transparency and faster action.
