160+ Lenders Extend Mortgage Forbearance for LA Fire Survivors
Governor Gavin Newsom announced that more than 160 lending institutions have committed to providing extended mortgage relief for survivors of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, agreeing to streamline additional forbearance of up to 90 days beyond the year already required by state law. This effort aims to give homeowners greater flexibility and time to focus on family, safety, and rebuilding as the state continues supporting long-term recovery.
