Survivors: Take Action & Urge California to Pass the Disaster Survivor Bill of Rights

Fire survivors, community leaders, and the Eaton Fire Collaborative are calling on the CA State Legislature and Gov. Newsom to pass the Disaster Survivor Bill of Rights—a package of bills and budget actions aimed at securing an equitable recovery for all impacted by the January 2025 fires. 2026 Legislative Priorities include:

• Safe Return: Fully funded remediation and a health impact fund
• Rapid Rehousing of displaced survivors
• Community-Led Rebuild + Anti-Displacement program
